(This dog was not adopted here FYI, read story) Im giving them 2 stars because of the willing to help abandoned dogs to find a good forever home but cannot give them a better rating because the whole poinr is that thr dog gets adopted with good persons who take care of them and this is why. The week before Thanksgiving day I contacted Ana to adopt Atila, a mix breed dog girl of 8 months of age.I was ready to have my first dog in USA after loosing my own in Vuba from a genetic heart disease. She told me to go to the shelter in Hollywood and I live in Miami. I fell in love with Atila so the trip was worth it and it was the night before Thanksgiving to be exact. I completed the long application and since it was a holiday I waited. I wrote Ana, the owner, on Monday again and she just told me they were behind. I did no want to keep looking as its no about getting any dog just to get one but a dog I feel a connection with. And I truly fekt it with Atila. Followed up with Ana again after that and never got a reply not even a simple No. I know they have a kot of work but the whole point of having a non profit org like they are to adopt dogs is to actually process akl the applications including the ones u domt approve and if you are willing to demand from people please be the same way and be professional. So I was doing some research about her profile and org and I realized all of the adoptions were approved for couples. I love on my iwn and I was willing to take care of a little angel. So this is what I did. Since I've been living in USA after Ana did not reply to me I decided to research and found out Miami Dade County shelter put dos for adoption. Its a very simple process and I was able to give a home to a very abused little dog who is the happiest of all and very lucky. I took him to the vet, he still recovering from being neutered and judge by yourself his change. PLEASE GO TO MIAMI DADE SHELTER TO ADOPT as your first option they have hundreds of dogs, they have very inexpensive vaccinations packages and spaying/neutering servs and those dogs may be put down if no one adopt them for a while as they cannot have them. I didnt know about this when I wrote Ana, I made a choice, she wont kill their dogs as she seems to love ginving them a shot so I went and adopt one of 2 years of age from Miami Dade County shelterin Doral and it was the best decision I've ever made. Ana. You need to improve your response rate LIKE A LOT. I was even willing to volunteer at her shelter but she did not even repply to me and when going to the actual shelter no one could give me information as to what todo EXCEPT to contact ANA and you know how that went. Hope she gets this as constructive criticisms and use every piece of advice to improve as smart people do. Keep doing the hard work but dont think that answering to the actual humans will be a waste of time cause maybe thath dog is not right for that person but I would have appreciated some orientation on this matter as to other dogs to adopt. Thats the purpose of your org, isn't it?
