Read the reviews before booking!!!! This was the WORST DELLS TRIP EVER. The trip started off fine. We checked in and the staff said our room wouldn't be ready until around 4pm which was fine. We arrived at 10am and decided to trek over to the "water park". Apparently even though we booked are room over a MONTH in advance, they decided to plop us in a room a "short walking distance" from the park. That short distance was an 11 minute drive, 20-25 in traffic. Talk about false advertising! The so called "all-inclusive" food was only available for several hours during the day and falsely advertised the meal options that would be available. There was no pasta or salad in sight, per the promotion we booked. And the food that was served was hazardous at best. There were more health code violations than I could count on my fingers and toes. Some of the worse ones were no precautionary measures for food prep at any of the restaurants. No gloves, or hairnets, or chilling mechanisms to keep perishable food from spoiling before being purchased. All of those were not only concerning, but also according to F.A.C., Rule 61C-1.001 and Food Code, Section 2-402.11, highly illegal. I would have loved to see the permits those stands were operating under. I will be sharing these violations with my friend at the WI DAFTA (WI bureau connected to FDA). Bear in mind that this was all just the experience on DAY 1 of the 3 day stay at this travesty of a resort. Day 2 was filled with no customer care/service staff fulfilling any of our requests or answering any of our simple questions. The ride staff was hostile at best, failing to give proper instructions when entering a ride, and then cajoling one of my sisters and physically harassing her to get her to remove a necklace. (which he could have just asked instead of pointing to his neck, then screaming and diving for her). When we asked to see supervisors to report these incidents and violations, we were told that "The supervisors don't deal with guests, that is a customer care problem", again reiterating the run-around and the hostile environment, we had experienced when dealing with them before. We gave up and ate all of our meals outside of the Mt Olympus resort, for fear of illness. When we returned from our day out, on day 2 we were greated by a used syringe outside of our hotel entrance. How lovely a sight, should a younger visitor of the parks happen to grab or hurt themselves with a potentially contaminated needle. I don't even want to talk about the things experienced on day 3. Consideringying $300 a night not including tax is the standard rate for most of the rooms outside of the "promotions", I personally was shocked that they call themselves a "premiere experience". Mt Olympus should be ashamed of themselves, their park, food, and staff behavior. We will definitely NEVER be returning and HIGHLY ADVISE AVOIDING AT ALL COSTS, for fear of the hostile environment, poor quality, false advertising, misleading information, lackluster staff, and likely harmful surroundings. Buyer beware! Worst deal in the dells for service and cost. The Wilderness, Kalahari and Chula Vista all had cheaper rates compared with the experienes attached, and have much better accommodations, food, staff, and environments. STAY AWAY!!
