This is a family resort, not a party resort for sure. The beach is great, staff is nice and pools are good. However the room floors are grimey, we found a car rental receipt from someone else in our room that had all their private information on it, and the food was not great. Lots of options, but nothing truly good-breakfast is your best bet. Nutella waffles and yogurt with granola were my go-tos. It's very cheap, so if you're looking for cheap it's probably one of the most affordable you'll find. The theatre is hilarious for all the wrong reasons. The gym was decent and the drinks were strong, but make sure you ask for top shelf. The coffee shop has great cheesecake but the expresso tastes like plastic and the baristas kept steaming milk and then putting ice in it and calling it an iced latte all the baristas out there know that's the #1 way to breed bacteria. The resort was very dead, there were not that many people there. All in all we had a good time because of our company and how can you hate a sunny beach- but I won't be returning because of the poor food quality and dirty rooms. Definitely if you go here spring for the villa. We stayed a swim up Villa one night and it was very nice to be so close to the beach and have our own pool.

Sidenote, the CANCUN sign is a five minute walk up the beach from the resort! If you're staring at the water, take a left. You'll see it in a couple minutes, it's part of a public beach.
