Truly a site to be seen. Once you get past all the people and tourists there's some mighty fine meat here. Very juicy and tender. In this case had the traditional Pastrami, but made it a combo with the corned beef. Thick and tender. Better than their 2nd outpost at Dekalb Market, but it should be as this is the original. They piled up pickles on the side as well.
FYI - When you step in you MUST get a ticket and DON'T lose it as it's essentially your meal ticket where they not down what you owe. You eat first and pay when you leave. If you don't have it, you'll have to pay more. When you enter through a roped path you pick a lane at a cutting station to place your order. Drinks are past the cutting lines on the right. You can pay with credit card in back and cash up front. There's more seats around the food station if you make a right turn which is also towards the kitchen and restrooms.
Iconic place. Go eat. NOW.
