I graduated from the Vet Tech program almost 4 years ago and it took me only 2 years to get through the program. Life-changing career and college choice! Individuals need to understand that an online college will always be more rigorous than brick and mortar because you do not have someone else being accountable for your coursework. It is you and you alone. The college is not responsible for your lack of motivation; which is oftentimes why distance-learning programs get a bad wrap. Yes, the drop out rate is higher because anyone thinks they are capable of self-motivation. The difficulty of the program weeds out individuals who are not go-getters. But for those who make it out alive on the other side not only change their own lives, but the direction of our profession.
