Unfortunately I was very disappointed!
My iPhone display stopped receiving touch commands while on vacation. After a visit to Apple, I was certified there (in black and white) that it was a known problem and that I should make use of the dealer's warranty.
So I went to MediaMarkt and tried to describe the problem to the gentleman at the "Service" - he interrupted me in the middle of a sentence and said I had the burden of proof, since after 6 months a reversal of the burden of proof comes into effect (I googled it and he has Law).
Now I tried to hand him the letter from Apple - unfortunately he didn't even look at it. He then told me I could get a lawyer and hire an appraiser and then let's see ...
I then asked him if he was serious about treating me like that, to which he replied that I want something from him and if it doesn't suit me I can go.
I went with my mouth open - I've never seen anything like it. Even on the worst day an employee can have - I am not allowed to talk to a customer like that.
Don't get me wrong - the man is right - but the way they are dealt with is anything but what I would expect from someone who received 1,300 for a phone from me 1 1/2 years ago.
