I ve never doubted the reliability and brand power...

I ve never doubted the reliability and brand power behind Toyota and their vehicles. They definitely produce long lasting automobiles that are low to maintain and resell for a reasonable value.

It s been my experience with South Pointe Toyota, that they are ineffective and not customer oriented.
I recently was in the market and looking to return to the car brand, seeing that my family, extended and immediate, are loyal Toyota clients (over 20 years and 15-20 vehicles).

Upon researching what models are offered and the trims I could budget, I ended up choosing one. It turns out there was one in the city, and I went to look at it in person, to determine if I liked it. After testing it twice, I was impressed and left feeling I had a good product and future purchase.

I dealt with the dealership that my family deals with for our last three Toyota s, and upon my being approved for vehicle financing, they sought to locate the car I wished for. My first warning sign was that the Car I tested was misrepresented on South Pointe s website. It seems whomever wrote the details copied and pasted the car details, not really concerned over the accuracy of their advertising. This resulted in my dealership not being able to locate the car.

The second warning sign was when a manager informed me that upon contacting the manager at South Pointe, he would not allow my dealership to buy the car from them, as it was a unique trim and they wished to get the sale. This gave me an impression that this dealership does not care about putting clients first, potential or current. Regardless of how they obtain the sale or service Toyota s customers, the customer should be left feeling their needs are met and respected.

I feel this dealership failed to expand Toyota s brand image to be family friendly, safe, reliable. This was only my recent interaction here, but twice before in past years I have left feeling I was either pressured to sign or buy a vehicle here. No ease of business, or respectfully giving me my space and leaving the ball in my court. I feel like South Pointe is withholding a product that Toyota Canada approved me for, one they wished me to buy and re-earn my business. It seems the dealership management has other ways of putting profits ahead of customer service.

I won t change my opinion of Toyota, but dealerships do not always portray their brands values, and this seems to be an event I feel impacts where I will choose to service my next vehicle. Unfortunately my few interactions at this dealership have not left me impressed with their customer service or their ability to earn clients business. A client is free to decide whom they deal with, and where they wish to do business. Why should a client be forced to deal with a dealership, who has given negative client experiences?
