This is the absolute best zoo in the valley, hands down. It blows phoenix zoo out of the water. In all of the zoo's I've been to, this is the closest I've ever been to a tiger. Literally 5 feet away (it was sleeping at the edge of the fence). None of the exhibits have the typical setup with a moat around an enclosure that is 35 feet lower than the area you are standing at. Typically here you are nearly face to face with every animal.
