I almost canceled our weekend because of the many negative reviews. How glad I did NOT do this! We asked for a quiet room on arrival and we got it. You had to walk a bit longer, but that didn't matter. The room itself was clean and spacious on the ground floor. The renovated bathroom with whirlpool bath and rain shower was clean and large. The breakfast was fantastic, everything was there, even champagne! I don't understand how people can still complain about this! Yes that the sandwiches are no longer replenished 5 minutes before the end time is understandable !!
The food in the restaurant was fine, so was all the staff. You only had to ask for something and it was done for you. You have to open your mouth and dare to ask! Do not post a bad review afterwards, the hotel should also be given the opportunity to keep improving.
The area with the beaches and Alkmaar is very worthwhile.
We will definitely come back!
