Kevin Friedman Review of Pointe Hilton Resort/Tapatio C...
I rode to the Pointe Hilton on a beautiful Sunday ...
I rode to the Pointe Hilton on a beautiful Sunday afternoon to take in the wonderful view at the top of the hill and to take a few photos. I rode up the hotel road to get to the restaurant parking lot at the top of the mountain. There were no closed gates or barricades blocking it off.
As soon as I got off my motorcycle I was approached by a security guard in a golf cart and asked if I was staying at the hotel. I told him I wasn't and then he told me I had to leave the property. I asked him what if I was staying at the hotel, could I be in the parking lot. He told me that I still couldn't be there because it was private property and the restaurant was closed (not opening until 5PM and it was only 2PM).
He ultimately called a second security guard who rode up in a golf cart and told me that the police had been called and they "would do more than just tell you to leave".
I have been a resident in the Phoenix area several years and have visited this property before to take in the beautiful view of the city. It is a shame that their idea of customer service is to chase people off the property.
I spoke to a front desk manager before I left, however all he did was reinforce the security line that "I would have been told to leave whether I had ridden a motorcycle or hiked up there"
Just an unpleasant experience visiting a Hilton that claims to pride itself on customer service.
