New thermostat required a fifth wire called a C-wire. Pronto's technician said he would have to "rewire the whole furnace" to add a fifth wire as mine only had 4. This would be at considerable cost and I said no to that.

After he left and I had time I looked and found two extra wires at the point of the jacket. As there was plenty of extra wire in the wall I pulled more out, stripped some more of the jacket off and used the extra blue wire as my new 5th C-wire. Went to the furnace, connected the intact blue wire to the C terminal and I was done.

After reading the owners reply I've decided to remove any perceived dirogatory comments and just stick with the facts. No innuendo. No fluff. This is a review and the ultimate purpose is to provide honest feedback via this incredibly useful format so others may make an informed choice for products or servives.

Wade I will give you the benefit of the doubt and can assure you I am not in the trade nor am I competitor of yours. What I am is a smart, hands on individual who has the ability to solve many of my own problems but from time to time still needs to call a professional due to lack of knowledge or time constraints as was the case here.

What I will say about the service received from Pronto is that it was highly lacking in quality and attention to detail. The above described scenario is what transpired and my review is honest and now to the point. The idea that I am required to call you back to justify, valadate or confirm my review is false. You provided a service, I was not pleased, you replied and I've left this updated review. That's the end of it.

Regarding my reviews of others and how they pertain to our interaction I argue has no barring. I will however give you this. In my experience it's uncommon to get 5 star service. Mediocre to poor service is common. When people upsell, double talk or fail to perform there's nothing wrong with calling them on that and my reviews reflect that. Regarding my 1 or 2 star reviews. I would challenge you to look at others who have reviewed these establishments. I would bet 95 percent of them have multiple low scoring reviews reflecting that I am not unique. Even your reviews reflect a few low scores and even a retaliatory "crabass" comment from you. It's a two way street Wade and your reply and how you word them reflect as much to your integraty as your overall performance. I've taken your point I hope you'll take mine.
