We stayed the weekend for my Husband's birthday. Two couples, two rooms. While it has the makings to be a great resort, it really needs someone to CLEAN IT UP! It appears this place was great at one time, it just needs to be better cared for. Website is a bit misleading. Especially when comes to Restaurant 157. It is not a full buffet for dinner. They had fish, taco/nacho stuff (but no shells?), a few sides, salad, fruit and a few small desserts. NOT what you would expect for the price you pay. The breakfast there was actually more of a buffet then the dinner. Grounds, pools, rooms, hallways EVERYWHERE WAS DIRTY! We received a moldy towel from the pool attendant. There where smashed bugs inside pictures hanging on the walls. Balcony with spider webs and no chairs (so you couldn't sit and enjoy the view). The Coco cafe was a mess with limited options just like the restaurant. Told our rooms where right next door to each other, however they where down the hall from each other. The couch in our room had a piece sticking out from it that cut my friends foot. A light in their closet was staying on (hello fire hazard!). The bed sits way to low, so does the couch and the chair (which was so dirty I refused to sit in it). There was a set of chairs and a table just shoved in the corner of the room as if house keeping didn't know what to do with it? The cove bar & grill looked nice but was NOT conveniently located to the adult pool but rather over by the kids pool. There was a few wait staff walking around but none of them where ever seen in the adult area by us (which is the farthest from the bar). We decided to play a round on the miniature golf course. It was fun but again not well attended to. Part that concerned me the most was that children had access to it and the pump area as well as what appeared to be an open electric box (SCARY). The tennis courts looked un-kept as well with nets down, dirty courts etc., but they where well lit and had rackets available for guest. The lazy river was probably my favorite part of the place. It had the least amount of trash around and in it. The adult pool was super cloudy and while I didn't get in it my Husband said he found straws and all kinds of items in the hot tub (which he then quickly exited). The new Energie club looked good, we didn't stay long but everyone there seemed drunk and happy! I don't care for the hours for the Aqua Park. Not everyone wants to be in the water during the hottest parts of the day. So 10 am to 10 pm doesn't really work for us. Maybe consider 7/8 am to midnight (if nothing else just during the summer months). The bed, couch and chair all sit way to low and the bed sleeps like a damn futon. The his and hers closet and counter/sink in the bathroom was great! Over all I feel we spent way to much money to stay in a dirty place that didn't live up to what we see as resort standards. Would we consider visiting again...maybe with the kids, but for sure not staying in the tower. The cottages might be the way to go. The adjacent golf course was very nice to look at and the lake made an awesome view... from the office chair inside my room.
