Have a Lincoln with a safety recall and finally got a letter saying there was a solution and to call my local dealer to set up an appointment for repair. Was transferred to numerous people before having to leave a message. When my call was finally returned, I was told that they didn't have the part and before they would order it, they had to inspect my car. My car has a specific safety recall having to do with the airbags; there is no need to inspect the car, unless you want to try to find things to sell me to help justify doing the recall labor for free. This is the second bad experience I've had with the service department at this dealer. I called another Lincoln dealer, and they seemed to have no problem just ordering the part.
