I had previously gone to the ink factory for my first tattoo and had gotten a piercing a few years ago and the staff were great and when anyone has been looking for somewhere to get a tattoo I have always recommend them.

I had booked my appointment two weeks in advance and they were very efficient when contacting me and replying to my queries.

I arrived for my appointment and was told the the artist was still with the previous client and there was a delay. I wish I had of known I would be waiting for hour as I would gone and come back.

When I spoke to the artist they had my images but it seemed like they hadn t any other info from my emails apart from that it was going to be all black. They asked the size and I advised the size I wanted but that I had been told it needed to be bigger during my correspondence and asked what size it needed to be. I honestly can t remember if I got a reply but they drew it up anyway and came back and said that the full design I wanted wouldn t work. I fully understand that the artist doesn t want to do something that won t look right but I thought this might have been picked up during the correspondence and not after waiting an hour for my appointment.

My interaction with the artist was not a pleasant experience. I felt like I was an inconvenience to them even though I was the one left waiting and was paying for my time with them. During the start of my session they were talking to other members of staff and looking at photos on one of their phones right above my head. I wouldn t have minded as much had their interaction with me gone beyond only the absolute necessary.

To be fair they did a good job on the tattoos and the receptionist was polite and helpful but my experience made me feel completely disrespected, unimportant and uneasy.

UPDATE

After posting my review I was contacted by a manager in the ink factory within one day. She was extremely helpful and pleasant to speak to and I greatly appreciated her taking the time to listen to me and I am very happy with how she addressed my concerns. I would definitely recommend the ink factory and visit again.
