We visited the Exploratorium for the after dark event on Thursday evenings during a three day trip to the city, by far it was our favorite evening. Seeing all there is to see is definitely at least a two night affair. All of the exhibits are interactive and give lots to connect over. Bring a friend and you two will leave with fond memories.

We were able to get the last two tickets for the Tactile Dome and I unfortunately lost them, discovering this about 5 minutes before the event started. The staff and management were so helpful and quick, reprinting our tickets and making sure that we were able to attend this unique event. We're so grateful for their great customer service in this regard, because it one of our favorite activities from our stay.
