Craving fresh-made, quality pasta, I was recommended to Zafferano as among the best up-scale Italian in London. From the knowledgeable sommelier who recommended the perfect bottle of wine (and didn't try to upsell on overpriced bottles), to the waiters who made sure that each of the fresh-from-the-market were highlighted and served with aplomb, the restaurant did not disappoint. Mixed crowd of couples celebrating happy occasions and bankers congratulating each other on successful deals (but don't let that deter you). Certainly paying for the surroundings (an upscale neighborhood and open decor) and top-market cuisine, but it all feels worth it.
