You won't get decent reliable medical attention in the emergency Dept. Sub-standard staff mostly, outdated equipment, lack of adequate basic supplies ( for instance, for simple wound care, among other things). I could go on but don't want to relive some of my worst memories. Especially since the entrance is set up like a prison...worse than airport security... All bags, pockets dumped, searched, huge delay while they're wasting your time looking for....what? Weapons? Drugs? Terrorists?... It's demeaning, disrespectful, in convenient and insane!
I find the individual specialty clinics such as wound care, urology, podiatry, etc more adept at providing necessary health care. However, don't expect to find a competent primary care provider in Family Health clinic. They're living in the dark ages... Understaffed, overcrowded, overbooked, long waits, chaos, old smelly outdated offices/ examining rooms (building 80 should be condemned). Zuckerberg's name on new building does nothing for.me... except, yeah...a decent restroom, which is in short supply in old buildings which have useless restrooms for disabled in wheelchairs. PS... Of most SF hospitals.... General's cafeteria has mostly overpriced mediocre food... Too bad, since it's a nice cafeteria otherwise.
