We booked for the weekend in February when it snow...

We booked for the weekend in February when it snowed. We were contacted by email (who checks their emails whilst driving to their holiday destination??) after check-in to say that our holiday was cancelled. As we were almost there we called them and were told to come along anyway as we would be allocated a cabin. We carried on and arrived to be told that we would get our cabin allocated by 10 pm. We spent all day in a sweaty Hall that sold us extortionately priced drinks only to be told at 10pm to go home or sleep on the floor! As we had all been drinking and live in Devon we had little choice! The following morning we were kicked out and told we would be able to book alternative dates. I feel sorry for people with kids, dogs and days off from work wasted, not to mention all the food that was spoiled sat in our cars over night. The weekend was ruined by a situation which CP should have had a plan for... It was less than a year ago since the last fall of snow so why it was so disorganised and badly run I really don't understand. I'm a teacher, not a manager, but CP if you need some advice on how to transport people and their luggage between the carpark and their lodge I'm happy to talk.
