I work at a local Assisted Living/Memory Care community, and we recently moved in a resident who was a patient at the VA La Jolla into our Memory Care. I wanted to share the absolutely wonderful experience that we had working with Larissa Tekerian MSW. I have been in senior living for over 16 years, and Larissa has been the most communicative, helpful, kind, and caring Social Worker that I have had the pleasure of working with in a very long time. Larissa responded to every request for paperwork and updates, and got everything done in the most timely and pleasant manner imaginable. The VA is lucky to have her and her team serving our honorable veterans'. Larissa puts other healthcare groups like Kaiser to shame! Helping a senior move into an assisted living community can be a miserable experience when dealing with the doctors and social workers- to get required paperwork completed, it can wreak havoc on families that are already stressed and worried about their loved one's well-being. Larissa made everything so easy so that we were able to focus on the veteran and his family to ensure the transition went smoothly for them.
