I booked this place fairly last minute and then started reading the reviews.....
When on the train I was fully prepared to pay for another place.
Almost walked past the place, very small door. Interrupted the poor lass on her break but she jumped straight to help us. Very polite and nice lass at the desk. She even gave us a wee bit of advice to take the back stairs up since we had a fairly big case and the main stairs are beyond mental! Got up to the room to find nice and fresh bedding. Clean towels (wee hole in one but Meh, I didn't care), bathroom was spotless. Even had shower gell for guests and a hairdryer.
Lights all worked, plugs too. No TV in the room though but we didn't care about that. It was a place to sleep!
Back was a bit sore after the beds though, even though they seemed fairly new as well.
You can see they are doing the place up but by bit. They were getting deliveres of new furniture during our stay. New flooring around the place. They clearly are trying to improve the hotel and make it a bit nicer. So good on them!
Nice enough place to stay in the centre of town.
We were in room 311 for the record. Brutal stairs but wasn't bad at all!
