We had a reservation at the Ritz Piccadilly for lunch at 1.00pm on Monday 24thOctober.
I allowed 1 1/2 hrs to ensure we got there on time, after a call @ 12.45 the car arrived @ 12.50.
The driver asked if we knew the way, we thought he was joking but he wasn't relied on a sat nav that took us all round the houses eventually at 1.10 I looked on my iPhone for directions & we payed & got out & walked eventually arriving at 1.20..
Pick up wasn't much better the driver phoned to say he was at the Piccadilly end of Jermyn street which was a good ten minutes walk from the Hotel, when we got to him he again was relying on a Satnav & thought we were at an arcade just down the road! He did apologies & to be fair did know an good route home which even taking into account our ten minute walk took less than an hour.
I have emailed to complain making the point that surely any cab firm around London should ensure their drivers had a basic knowledge of significant London hotels & not rely totally on Satnav, but to date have not even had the courtesy of a reply.
So after many years with Cannon cars as this isn't the only time we haven't had good service this year I will be looking elsewhere in future
