We have just arrived home after staying 3 nights at the Mercure Gold Coast Resort and I could not speak more highly of our time there. The very nice gentleman who checked us in upon arrival bent over backwards to ensure we could stay in the same room for our stay. (I had booked the nights through different booking platforms). Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spacious, clean and updated. All the staff that we met during our stay were very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate our needs. My children loved the rides around the resort on the golf carts. A very nice gentleman made us drinks at the bar on Friday night and organised for the kitchen to make us a pizza to eat in the lounge as I had just finished work and the kitchen had just stopped serving. Breakfast was amazing - so much to choose from. I really felt that the staff went out of their way to make sure the guests are happy and I was impressed to see that they were given the autonomy to make the decisions needed to make this happen. It seemed nothing was too much trouble. Whatever customer service training they are doing here, keep it up. I felt like the staff enjoyed their jobs and their workplace.
I travel a fair bit with my two young children and all too often we come across hotels and staff who compromise their customer service by being inflexible and unfriendly. Happy, friendly and helpful staff make all the difference to a hotel stay. Even the housekeeper left us a lovely note wishing us a wonderful stay. I wish i could remember certain names in particular to mention here. Anyway, we will definitely be back to stay with you again and I will make sure I recommend this hotel to everyone I know. Thanks again!!
