Need to agree with one of the previous comments about the rude triage nurse, in our case it might have been a racist discrimination. It was our first time visiting and our baby's first name was called among 5 other names called by another staff. We stood there confused before there nurse screamed at us to bring our baby to her.
When the nurse took measure she gave no prior warning and grabbed our baby's tightly fitted shoes straight off without loosening it. With no efforts in comforting our screaming baby she grabbed her leg and wrapped the sensor on her toe. I thought it's just her work professionally done but for all babies after ours the nurse was acting completely differently, with greeting and apologies for waiting, then warm comforting approaches to those babies.
I cannot stop thinking we had been a subject of racial discrimination and the experience is increasing sickening the more I think about it. This makes me worry for my daughter's future growing up as a ethnic minority in this country supposingly native to her. I have never associated Scotland with racists, but the experience we received in our vulnerable hours has made me rethink
