I am studying English at Zoni language Centers in Midtown manhattan. My course includes 3 months of General English and 3 months of preparation for the TOEFL exam. I decided to go abroad to learn English because I need it for my work. A friend of mine, who traveled a lot, recommended America; I followed his advice and I don t regret it! I chose to stay with a host family, as I think it s the best way to improve my English language skills. My host family is really nice and they live about 35 minutes away from the midtown by subway/metro. The school is great. Teachers are competent and know how to make lessons interesting. Classes are very international, so I met many people from around the world and discovered lots of new cultures. In addition to language classes, the school organizes leisure activities such as museum tours, excursions and barbecues. It s been only one month since I left Sao Paulo, but my English has already improved a lot. Time goes very fast, I still have 5 months in New York but I don t think I will be able to do everything I want to do.
