The Westin New York is located in Midtown Manhatta...

The Westin New York is located in Midtown Manhattan, and Time Square is just around the corner. The building is typically 45 stories high in New York and very large with around 900 rooms.
The lifts in the hotel were always there quickly, you never had to wait long.
There is a steak house attached to the hotel, but we didn't use it.
The equipment structure was almost completely shaped by tourists, many Americans.

I don't think you have to write much about the location right on Time Square - you fall out the door and it pounds. The main entrance is on 43rd Street, the side entrance on 42nd Street.
Life rages as soon as you leave the hotel - it doesn't really matter what time. The nightlife, the shopping experience, options to eat out, take the subway, bus or taxi, all of this starts right in front of the hotel - Time Square :-)

Our room was on the 32nd floor and accordingly offered a wonderful view of the city. The room has a modern decor and is well equipped. There is quite a quiet air conditioning system, a properly stocked minibar, a good coffee machine, a large TV and a safe. Contrary to my other experiences, it was even possible to open the large window a crack, great!

The bathroom is small but functional with a shower and bathtub. The water pressure in the shower is also good, so you don't have to hop from water jet to water jet to get wet - great :-) Only the light in the bathroom is too dark, so a few stubble of beard stay there ...

The noise insulation was very good. If you open the window briefly and then close it again, you think you've hit the mute button on the remote control. The neighbors can also live their lives without letting us be part of it!

The cleanliness in the room and bathroom were perfect! I didn't envy the room staff, because having to clean up the clothes and shopping ;-) by 4 people is certainly not fun - but it was well done!

The lady at the check-in at the reception was extremely unfriendly, I would have been happy to have a look or a simple "hi" after the typical American "next please". But only "Name?" ... In addition, we had to wait 1.5 hours for our room, without "... sorry but ...", it was simply said that the room would not be ready until 4.30 p.m. The entire check-in was a disaster! That is a shame, because it is memorable!

The concierge and luggage service was friendly and tried hard. When there was no longer an umbrella available for us when it was raining, one of the employees came running after us in the pouring rain to bring us an umbrella after all, great.
