We canceled service. Our alarm went off twice in 2 weeks due to wind (we were told) at around 1:30AM. The second time they never even called. We were in master with door locked. After maybe 5 minutes or so we called 911. We called Smith Thompson 10-15 minutes later and they had a recording indicating they had too many alarms going off.
Also, our home was built in 2008 and builder didn't put a monitor in master. Called and asked them how much it would cost. Their IT man said he would have to drill into our foundation in master to run line to our control center in the laundry room.
We immediately checked on new system for our home.
We were amazed when we started looking for a security company how poor their systems were and the people who came out knew nothing.
We are now with a security company and the monitoring company is attached to our security system to make sure all items are working properly.
