In some areas, it should be awarded 3 stars but the helpfulness and great attitude of the bar/breakfast/food manager saved the day and made me give 4 (small, dark haired gentleman, looks to be in his late 50/early 60's). So..a large group of us stayed here for 2 nights. When we entered the room, it was icy cold. On the way to the bar, I talked with Housekeeping to ask if there was a trick to the thermostat, but they said the heating wouldn't come on until 5 PM (this was 4 PM). I'm not sure I understand that. The weather was freezing and what if we had wanted a nap instead of a beer? On that note, went downstairs to the central bar in the lobby - my husband was choking for a Guinness in Ireland (Duh), only to be told by 2 different staff they were washing the lines of the tap and it would be an hour before G was available! Firstly, couldn't that have been done at 9 AM, in preparation for such a large group of, mostly beer drinking, men? And then we noticed there was another bar. So secondly, couldn't they have gone to the other bar and got some? We practically had to beg for service for drinks, and were disappointed - that is, until we met the manager. He complimented our pizza later that night due to the mix-up and, at breakfast the next morning, he noticed I had been looking for poached eggs, so promptly had the kitchen make me one and brought it to the table swiftly. Additionally, I would note that, if you want one of these special looking rooms on their website pictures, you maybe should ask for it. Most of the rooms do not look like this. Overall, though, I'd definitely stay here again. The "other" bar (we didn't see at first) is cozy, comfy, well-staffed, and fast on the service. Breakfast was amazing, clean, and vastly spread out, and we were able to get a short Uber ride into town from this location. Not too far from the airport either.
