Had a lovely massage, swim and sauna. Enjoyed it all. Well worth a visit.
Had a lovely massage, swim and sauna. Enjoyed it all. Well worth a visit.
Had a lovely time! Nice swimming pool, gardens and restaurant. It is also worth walking the extensive grounds if you have the time!
Usually a peaceful place, but yesterday was Mothers day, so the place was manic.
This was my 10th or 11th stay here. I use hotels very often and have never stayed in any other hotel twice. I keep coming back here as it is an oasis of calm. Everyone is friendly, the rooms are so comfortable. The location is stunning. Will keep coming back as it's never disappointing.
By Irish standards the restaurant is not bad value and the famed "Glen View" is fabulous. The restaurant claims two AA rosettes but I'm not sure why as the menu is not very imaginative.
3 days, 2 nights of peace. Being 8 months pregnant and so easily aggro it was lovely and tranquil
Very kind staff lovely food, & very comfortable so homely.
Very nice relaxing place to stay first time here certainly enjoying it.
I love this place for afternoon tea or early dinner. Have been coming since I was a child!!
Disappointed. The bathroom was dirty, hair in the bath, on the toilet.
First room we took was with problem with window. We changed and received another, dirty one. On reception we heard just we are very sorry. No cleaning after.
Rooms are not modern.
Leasure center... the staff walks in area of pool in dirty shoes. How it can happen?!!
Breakfast is bad, very small.
It's not 4 stars at all.
Large family group stayed for 2 nights this weekend.
Wheelchair accessibility room very small, cramp.
My family room lovely & big but full beetles, handle fell off door cleaner missed cleaning my room because of men fixing the door for a few hours.
Service in bar horrendous for dinner, drinks & lunch very under staff.
Food tasty.
Breakfast only ok.
Family dinner in restaurant on Saturday was lovely & staff were amazing. Notice same staff at breakfast there at dinner.
Management needs to train & manage staff in bar. 2 hours to get order taken for lunch is crazy.
The hotel was lovely and the food in the restaurant was amazing. I can't wait to visit again
First person we met was Jonathon at reception, friendly helpful and asset to any hotel.
Lovely room and great views bed was very comfy.
Went to lunch first two staff members were very unpleasant, thought this could ruin our stay.
Thankfully a lovely pleasant girl named Andrea took over.
Evening dinner our server was Emma and she was a lovely pleasant member of staff looked after us very well.food was excellent. Would stay here again.
The food wasn't great. Prices were the same, staff was grumpy. Very disappointed, as my family and I have been coming here for years. It must be under new management, as table service is gone too.
The staff are great but the hotel needs a face lift and a good cleaning. wee stayed for a few nights in room 322. The bathroom needs a good clean. You would think someone had an accident beside the wc and was never cleaned. the bedroom has a big stain on carpet beside the bed. very disappointed. Tommy from newry.
Glenview Hotel is a very popular venue for weddings and justifiably so. My step daughter was married there and the staff couldn't do enough for her. Also ideal for pup lunches and very popular for sports. You won't be disappointed!!
We've been only to the restaurant, the food as so delicious and the view from the restaurant is amazing
Beautiful hotel great setting nestling in wicklow mountains on a main arterial route. Luxury comfortable hotel welcoming staff. Food selection a bit limited. Breakfast selection good.
Couldn't sleep at all because of the metal awning creaking and buckling from the wind. Which is unfortunate because the hotel is lovely but something needs to be done about the noise.
Very disappointed,
Room 201
Love this hotel. The views are just stunning and the staff are wonderful. Thank you Paul in the restaurant for looking after us so well.
Brilliant location. Excellent food, staff. We will definitely be visiting Glenview Hotel again.
Lovely hotel with very friendly staff.. Beautiful food.. Gardens are fabulous and rooms are so comfortable and clean.. Pity the conservatory bar is a bit grubby and needs renovation but would certainly visit again
Very nice settings and gardens. Public bathrooms not clean hand driers not working. Food average
Food is satisfactory for expectations; staff are excellent; service prompt; very clean
Great hotel . Lovely food and service is great . Well worth a stay .
Always good
I can recommend cleanliness and friendliness super
have never been so cold and uncomfortable in my whole life sitting between 2 doors that are constantly open and _ 4 degrees very bad value for the money cant say Ive enjoyed my meal
Glen view can't be beaten. Staff are amazing. Good value for money and beds are so comfy!
I stayed for a wedding.
There wasn't even as much as a bar of soap in the bathroom to use.
There was a half used roll of toilet paper left.
It's a kip, and they charge nearly 200e a night.
Keep well away.
Rip off of a hotel.
Beautiful hotel tucked away in the beauty of the Wicklow mountains. Nice hotel with excellent service.
A fantastic choice for a out-of-city escape. Spacious room with a big bed. Fully equipped bedroom, great health and leisure centre with an outdoor bathtub and a great gym. Plenty of classes too! Great Irish breakfast as well as a large choice of cold meats, cereals and pastry. Restaurant is top notch, food is delicious, but the only let down would be the service in the restaurant and bistro bar. Staff is very forgetful and we had to ask twice for more than a couple of things. Great experience altogether and we are already thinking about coming back. Highly recommended!
Great place for a short break , The food is excellent
Am a member here have no complaints leisure facilities nice, pool great for kids and adults alike. Staff are friendly and the food in the hotel bar is lovely and not too pricey.
Lovely comfy rooms and the foods good too . Really easy to get off and in the n11 from here
Fabulous hotel, staff were wonderful and food was scrumptious
Free upgrade to superior room, good food, great spa, lovely forest walk & gardens. Our 2nd stay & definitely not our last. Out of all the hotels we have had short stay breaks, this is nos.1 in every way.
Outstanding service, brilliant staff, ever so helpful.Thank you so much.
Stayed here for a night, really nice staff and brekkie was lovely
Don't leave anything in a car/van here because it will be robbed!!
Attended for a Wedding. Nice rooms, amazing food and brilliant service. Staff very friendly.
Gorgeous view! Friendly staff. Comfy rooms. In room safe is a bonus. The only drawbacks were that noise carries in the halls at night and kept me awake into the wee hours.
I edited this post because I was incorrect about the room to room phone charges. We were charged for making local outside calls not for calling room to room.
We had a "normal" stay at this hotel for 2 days. Nothing bad to say at all but nothing great either. Workers were really helpful.
First time to glenview with a four night stay with family members.16th/20th .Beautiful hotel with surroundings and garden. Charming interior. All staff very courteous and friendly conservatory bar and woodlands restaurant food outstanding. Breakfast ample choices. Bedrooms.very clean and comfortable. Took good use of the health suite during our stay which is always as added bonus. Thank you for making our first stay enjoyable and relaxing.
Fabulous location, great views. It has a lovely old school feel...the leisure centre is great especially when the weather prevents you from exploring the grounds.. and many attractions close by. The food is very good and the hotel and staff are child friendly. Lovely spot to escape to.
Had a lovely stay in Glenview. The facilities are top notch! The bar staff mainly two young guys we're extremely helpful and gave us a 5* service! Didn't realise the hotel is located in the middle of nowhere if you've no car can be quite hard to get around also the rooms we're quite outdated but still had am amazing sleep.
Very dissapointed with this hotel afwul food in bistro the vegatarian burger was soggy and tasteless .... The bed uncomfortable ... The tv old with few channels for the price I paid I was very dissapointed and would not return or recommend it however I must add the staff tried to be helpful.
Absolutely terrible stay could not book a table in restaurant for 2 adults 4 kids do not stay cation here manager of restaurant was the most abrut and ignorent person iv ever dealt with i could not believe his attitude towards me
Old Hotel in scenic location, food OK but needs updating.
Amazing food in restaurant and great place to stay.
Stayed here for the first time a few weeks ago, was just me and have to say the room was just too small, even for a single, I did ask for another room but they said they were booked out. Other than that though everything else was just perfect, hence the 5 star review despite the tiny room! The dinner was one of the best I've had in a long time, just so tasty and perfectly done, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The garden is lovely and theres a gorgeous little woodland walk too at the back of the hotel, really really enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back with family!
I have loved this hotel for years what would Wicklow do without it. It has been with us so long proof of good service and very much enjoyed.
Beautiful location- Glen of the Downs, stunning views!! Food delicious food, always!! Quite a few cobwebs to be seen! A few places need touching up, but overall great stay each time!!
Stayed here 2 weeks ago and we found Staff were so friendly n welcoming. Beautiful venue and Cleanliness 10/10
Member of the gym and I just joined, was a promotion for 6 months and I tought was a good deal, also nice staff members
Disappointing dinner. Good food but hopeless staff and rubbish setup. I won't be coming back.
Great food lovely atmosphere and the staff are amazing five star service i would definitley go back
Horrible. Sat at a dirty table waiting for service. Left after 30 mins. Never again
Superb time at this hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. The view is wonderful from the hotel. Room spacious and clean though ours was unfortunately at the back but for those at the front view would be fab. Great location with loads to do close by. Enjoyed one of the best neals ever in the Woodlands restaurant which also had a wonderful view and beautiful piano playing created a lovely atmosphere. Superb breakfast and enjoyed pool and hot tub. One very small niggle was having to wear a swimming hat which they sold at 3 euros each but apart from that, I would rate this hotel very highly and wouldn't hesitate to return.
Scenery excellent. Food and room excellent. Could find no fault with it. Value for money.
The amenities in the room is outdated. Heating/cooling cannot be easily regulated. Bathroom literally sucks. Walls in the room feel drooping & wet. Staff at breakfast or dinner are far & few.
Nice location.Overpriced food of reasonable quality
