I bought a pre-owned truck in April. While completely satisfied with my experience at the dealership (Peacock Audi), my experience since then has been less than ideal. Part of the sale was a "we owe" order to fix the passenger side window tint. This was not something I asked for, it was offered by the sales rep. I was told they would have their tint provider come to me at my home or business in Hinesville and gave me his contact info. The tint provider would not come to Hinesville and instead said I could meet him at the Peacock dealership in Savannah. It took several phone calls and a few weeks to finally schedule a time that worked for both of us. I arrived early for the appointment and called the tint guy when I got there. He said he was running a bit late but was on the way. An hour and a half later, I still hadn't heard from him and he wouldn't answer my call; nearly 3 hours and fuel wasted on a trip to Savannah. I contacted my sales rep and he said he'd reach out to the tint provider and get back to me. Two weeks passed without a word from either. I contacted my sales rep again and suggested I have the tint replaced myself and submit an invoice and he agreed. I had the tint repaired locally. I even removed the old tint and glue in order to save labor costs since both front windows had to be replaced or the drivers and passenger windows would have been significantly different in color even though the replacement tint was the same percentage as the old tint.
I submitted an invoice for $125 by email to my sales rep. I didn't receive a response but a check for $100 was sent a few days later. I'm not sure why the full amount wasnt reimbursed but I'm not at all surprised considering the lack of communication or professionalism prior. If there was a limit, I should have been informed and I would have done everything possible to work within that limit.
Buying my truck at Peacock was easy and hassle free. The service since then has been anything but hassle free and it's been that way unapologetically.
