This is an interesting tour and a must see if you have enough time in Paris. You should definitely plan ahead of your visit if this is on your to-do list. For one it's about an hour away from the city so either you get a tour that includes the transportation or expect to take the Metro and an additional line. Will take you almost within five minute walking distance of the palace in my opinion totally worth it it saves a lot of money too. Your planning should also include your ticket ahead of time so you don't have to make the queue to buy the ticket but be warned just because you have the ticket does not mean you won't be making a line I think it all depends on what time you arrive there we arrived closer to midday and the line was horrible I would guess about 2 hours I think if you arrived earlier it might not be that bad. If you're going in the summer I would totally recommend getting the additional garden show ticket because by far what we enjoyed the most was the gardens they are gorgeous.
