I have been with Rider since the early 1980s using the insurance to cover three bikes during that time. Although I have never made a claim, had an accident or even gotten a ticket in all that time, my rate increased when I moved from NJ to VA. In NJ I was a "preferred" customer and paid $70.00 less than I do now. The insurance company that I have my house and car insured with will give me a better deal on my bike than Rider. Sounds tempting.
On the other hand I have used the Rider Road Assistance twice and I was very pleased with the service. Rider also worked with my wife when she bought me my dream bike, sending all the paperwork to the dealer so I would be surprised when she brought me to the shop.
So, as of right now I am still a customer and will probably stay as one even paying a higher premium.
