Honestly I wouldn't recommend this college to anyone. I joint the college in hopes of learning and exploring the world of performing arts, if only that was what I got. My course leader acted very high and mighty. She also told me that if I didn't pass dance I would fail the whole course which I found odd considering I have no hand eye coordination and no matter how hard I tried I just couldn't pick up the dance routines. I couldn't understand how my lack of talent in the dance section can dictate my passing or not. That's like failing another student because they can't sing, it just doesn't make sense. My singing teacher was rarely ever there and when he was he often just told the class to have fun playing music on youtube or would disappear and tell students to do as they please. I'm a large music lover and my main reason for joining the course was because their music course was full and I was told I could get singing lesson's while learning to act and I thought it was a great idea. I was wrong. My singing teacher was often away working in the west end on stage productions, so he was getting paid for two jobs while we were often missing lesson's. I can't mention one thing I was taught in the very few lesson's he gave our class.
A week before we were due to perform on stage there was major upheaval since our singing teacher was trying to teach us music from The lion king, our dance teacher was also teaching us dance routines for The lion king while we were given scripts for a completely different performance and were yet to even receive roles.
That was the last straw for me. I decided not to return to college for the simple fact that it was so unorganized and so wishy washy. I didn't feel motivated or excited to go to college and there was no way in hell I was going to stand on a stage unprepared for the higher level students and my peers parents. Honestly it would have just been embarrassing.
I'm now looking for a new college to attend and hopefully I will actually learn something this time and be able to attend the course I originally wanted which was music.
Producing music is where my heart is.
