Approximately two and a half years ago my furnace motor went out on my furnace.My folks always used Donovan/Jorgensen as their service people. They came to the home and installed a new blower motor.As the gentleman finished the job he informed me that my heat exchanger was cracked in several places and needed to be replaced. I told him I would give it some thought, and make my decision. Unsettled I called a well known furnace company in Milwaukee. I told them I wanted my furnace cleaned and such. They came to my home to service my furnace they cleaned it and disassembled the unit.They replaced the ignighter, and did a great job. Before they closed the unit I asked for an opinion on the condition of the heat exchanger. They explained to me that the exchanger was fine and should last several years. My stomach sunk.There are honest people out there. However I will not call Donovan/Jorgensen as you may conclude.The reason why I waited so long is because of my conscience. I Have been bothered by not acting.my furnace continues to work excellent.
