We visited a few weeks after Hurricane Irma, so we were unable to fully enjoy the Marin House experience. As I told the owner, I would have appreciated being informed that the kitchen was not operational before we had an experience that did not meet our expectations. I understand they were recovering from the storm at the main building (we were in one of the cottages that was not affected), but felt they could have included juice and fresh fruit with the basket of pastries, which we could not eat. We will definitely come back to this very lovely place in the future. The Saltwater Suite was beautiful, with a few minute walk to the beach and a few more to Publix, the marina, and some great restaurants. P.S., the pool heater was turned off after 10, which made it a little chilly to get into the pool. Would be nice if that would stay on.
