I tried to go it without one of these, but it didn't work out. I went back to the hotel Saturday afternoon and applied on my Droid. they brought a unit straight over fully charged in perfect condition. after using it all day Sunday and well into the evening it's only lost two bars out of about 20 on the charge meter.
I will definitely use apple in the future.
