The intake and referral process is an absolute shame. After multiple fax attempts from my PCP, I was told they are several weeks behind in handling the faxes received. I should call my PCP and find out the time and date the fax was sent, and the number of pages faxed, so they could search their database. I did so then waited several weeks, and still no call. I called back to follow up. They received my referral but I was told I couldn't schedule with the Doctor I was requesting because my PCP didn't write the Doctor's name on the referral sheet. So back to square one. I drove to my PCP to see what was written on the referral- Yep, clear as day Dr. Asra Kermani. I work in healthcare and this customer service is disheartening. Based on my experience with UT Southwestern, save your time and energy and avoid this headache or know what to expect.
