The engine splash under shield of our ES300H was damaged from dragging on expressway for over 2+ hours after I hit a tire scrap outside Chicago on our way to Canada for family vacation (26JUN19). We found out about the damage when we got close to Minneapolis.
Lucky for us we were close to Lexus of Maplewood! The roadside assistance call taker (Adam?) made us an emergency appointment to Service department right away and that was where we met Tom Schultz, and the service team.
Unfortunately, the replacement shield was not available at the moment, but we had our 10-day trip all booked and planed out so we couldn t wait overnight for the replacement part. Tom Schultz and the technician went over and beyond to help us out by ziptie-ing the damaged shield back in place so we could continue our trip with minimum interruption (We were back on our trip after a couple of hours). And our family are forever in debt to Tom and service team for reversing a potential disaster start back to a wonderful vacation trip (This was our only hiccup through the whole trip, the fix was solid!)
Tom, whoever did the fix, Kimberly and the roadside assistance call service team demonstrated what is the meaning of customer-oriented service. Lexus of Maplewood did not make any profit but they gained a loyal fan family of Lexus of Maplewood for life.
I am so jealous of Minneapolis people that they have such a great dealership close by. I thought about buying my next Lexus from Lexus of Maplewood but my wife pulled me back to reality (Too much a drive from Chicago ).
With the treatment we got, I would not hesitate at all to recommend purchasing new cars or having cars serviced there.
And Tom, you are the best!
