It pains me to say it but MoMA is a tourist trap. My mother had been dying to go for decades and so it was supposed to be a wish come true. We thought we were going to beat the crowds by coming on a Tuesday afternoon -- no such luck. We were so crowded in there that you basically were forced into a dystopian conga line shuffle past each work with barely any time to glance at it before you were being pushed aside by someone else. Maybe it's better when it's not May, or if you pay to become a member and get to access the special Member's hours -- but it was seriously not worth the high cost of admission if you're a tourist visiting for the day.
