First thing that occurs when you phone them is you get a mindless recorded voice answering the phone; it's like something out of League of Gentlemen telling you how much time you can save if you do it on-line though this automated process takes 5 minutes before you actually speak to a real person, it's like a kind of mockery for the effrontery to call them.
Pendle Council generally sucks in every way but without doubt the most irritating aspect is the refuge collection.
For the second fortnight in a row they have failed to collect the waste paper for recycling, at least today it was just the paper, last fortnight it was the paper & plastics, this is not an exception, it is the norm. Virtually every week there is some issue with waste collection , like today because there was no collection, paper is blowing around in the wind making the area look like a right mess. And don't be surprised to learn that if they ever send a road sweeper out it comes day BEFORE the refuse collection is supposed to be collected not after, joined up thinking... not.
