Review of New York Habitat

I stayed in an apartment share for 3 months in NYC...

I stayed in an apartment share for 3 months in NYC until I transferred to a new university, and the apartment owner was absolutely crazy. She was very nice during our first meeting, but as soon as I moved in she started harassing me and saying I couldn t do things she already agreed to, such as using her pots/pans, using the living room, and she even went as far as to LOCK away the microwave and toaster oven. I won t bore you with the minutiae of the screaming and threats, but I will tell you I had to cal the police for my own safety. I unfortunately had to stay in the apartment even after this, because I didn t have a temporary space to stay, and NY habitat did NOTHING to help me, even after countless contact with them discussing the harassment. If i had the time I would have pursued legal action, but I was moving too far away. A previous tenant even posted a review stating she had the same problems as me and had to move out early, but NY habitat still decided to take my money and put my safety in jeopardy.
