This building is the perfect blend of old and new, both architecturally and philosophically. The old map rooms (and the old maps) are cherished to behold, but they put some remarkable exhibitions on in their very modern gallery at street level. I went to a lecture here as well - a very inspiring space. I very much recommend a tour - though you won't see some bits unless you book the space for a specific purpose :-)
