I wish that I could recommend this place to everyone. Sadly, I warn you to spend your money elsewhere in hopes of a better vacation than we are having. I read the comments about the bad food and thought....well, all all-inclusive resorts favor quantity over quality, these people are probably being overly picky...but somehow the Hilton has taken bad food to a whole different level. But the main reason I say buyer beware is that the restaurants and bars are grossly understaffed and their system of getting drinks and food out is just ridiculous and doesn't make any sense. Think waiting an hour and a half just to get a cold, inedible entree. I thought...maybe they are just having a bad night....but it was repeated the next night, and the next. And the staff did not seem the least bit phased. The buffet is also a very frustrating experience...they regularly run out of plates and food. The only edible item at breakfast is a made to order omelet. Plan on waiting in a long line and even then it might have shells. Ugh. But the worst is that the servers act like you don't exist. I flag one down to ask for a water and diet Coke. 15 minutes later I remind them I asked for a drink. 10 minutes later they bring out, watered down flat Coke. This is not just one case. We have been here 8 days and this is the experience at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The servers and staff are spread way too thin. It is so bizarre. This is not what I expected from an all inclusive and certainly not what I expected from hilton.

Buyer beware. I wish I had listened to the other reviews that said the food was terrible but really the level of service has made this vacation so disappointing. The room is great, the pool is great, the beach is great but don't expect to get a drink with your food or be able to sip a soda on the beach. I splurged for a luxurious room, ocean front with a hot tub on the balcony and I have happily tipped anyone that will help me. I am not being cheap here. I don't mean to boast, I just wanted you to understand that even tipping has not brought the level of service that would be barely acceptable.

For heaven's sake Hilton , if you can't staff the place enough to have servers give your guests drinks and food then please make it so guys can get their own drinks and food , I will happily serve myself.

As I sit by the pool or at dinner the other guests are sharing my sentiment as I can see others frustrated with the same issues around me. Hilton, you are really missing the opportunity to have a pretty great thing here. So disappointing.
