We had booked Just Jane catering for our October 2020 wedding, but due to Covid-19, we sadly cancelled our wedding reception due to it not being practical to run the event with the restrictions of just 15 people being in place, and consequently had to cancel the catering service. We understood that we had incurred some costs after having a food tasting and two meetings with Just Jane Catering however sadly, Just Jane were unwilling to refund any of our deposit, even though we had not incurred costs equal to the full amount of the deposit. We requested a 50% refund of our deposit which was declined, and then alternatively suggested we receive a voucher for the full amount of the deposit with the intention of using Just Jane for a future event, however request was also declined. We have now lost our full deposit. Considering that we are in exceptional times, we are shocked that there was no attempt to compromise or meet us halfway, and we feel very let down by Just Jane Catering as a result.
