Cairo Marriott Hotel is one of Cairo's historic hotels. It is a large 5-star hotel located in the Zamalek area on the island of the Nile River in Cairo, Egypt. The hotel was originally known as the Al Jazira Palace, built by the Khedive Ismail to welcome the guests of the opening ceremonies of the Suez Canal. The Palace has been a major transformation in its history with the management of Marriott International. The palace and gardens were restored with two towers built to accommodate 1250 luxurious rooms and suites, retaining the original palace, reception, restaurants, meeting rooms and banquet halls. The building consists of three buildings: the first building is the palace building which consists of 5 floors with the halls of the hotel, restaurants, shopping shops, the main hall and the reception, the second building is in Jerzimalek, and the third is the island tower.
