Joe D'Annunzio Review of Hilton Sedona Resort and Spa
This hotel offers spectacular views outside of you...
This hotel offers spectacular views outside of your windows and from your decks. I recommend asking for a room on the third floor for clearer photo opportunities not obscured by trees. Lying just south of Sedona, this hotel offers many amenities that the younger customers will enjoy, such as exercise areas, classes, and the like. However, for us older folks, I was expecting a newspaper by the door every day and was disappointed not to see one. The shower heads are of average height, so tall people will need to do a bit of Pilates to wash all of your parts. Glass shower doors, in our room anyway, leaked water so have a towel on the floor while in there. Beds are comfortable although softer than what we would have liked. Additional blankets are kept in closets. Automatic fireplaces have a timer to them, but it wasn't long enough for us. Gift shop was under construction at the time, so we drove to supermarket within two miles and purchased things there. Room safe was standard size and a nice touch. Coffeemaker in room but it was not a Keurig, so that was disappointing. Restaurant lunch was very good; breakfasts are offered but we did not take advantage of them. It would have been nice had the employees been dressed more like Hilton employees instead of wearing jeans so that we could distinguish between employees and guests. Also, the use of our name at any time by any employee would have been welcomed and would have impressed us, but it was not meant to be.
