Worst experience of my family's life! My sister went in because she was pregnant and had blood in her urine. They admitted her and decided to induce labor the following day. My sisters water broke that morning and the staff decided to give her Pitocin to speed up the process. the staff gave my sister 45ml of Pitocin in 30 mins instead of spacing it out like they are suppose to. this caused the baby's heart rate to drop dramaticly and dangerously low causing my sister to deliver via c section. my sister also left the hospital with a upper respiratory infection which was not treated. 9 days later the baby was readmitted back with a severe case of rsv. 2 and a half days into the hospital stay, we were told that there was nothing else they could do for the baby. Thank God for Community Regional Hospital in Fresno! they took in the baby and my sister and got them both better. Kaweah seems to be run by nurses not doctors and a majority of the staff was rude and rough with not only my sister but her new baby. things need to change at this hospital or complaints like this and others will cause this hospital to close.
