Twitter has been great every other time until now....

Twitter has been great every other time until now. My account has been put on lockdown because of "suspicious activity". From the outside looking in when I am not signed into my account, there are no signs of me being hacked or anything. My issue is, when I try to reset my password as I have been told to do, it comes up with only one option: an email address that is incorrect and not in use anymore. Because of this, I cannot reset my password without changing my email, and I cannot change my email when my account is locked! I have emailed Twitter MULTIPLE times because they do not have phone support which is ridiculous. I have tried appealing the lock on my account but I don't think the Help Center email thing knows how to fix it. Is there a real person I can talk to or do I have to make a new account?!?!?!
