I was happy with the vehicle they sold me....at first. So here is when it went down hill. First I was told the car that I paid $7,000 dollars cash for would be detailed....nope. It was not detailed but it was quickly vacuumed that is about it. So it was dirty when I picked it up but I said to myself no biggie I will get it detailed. So when a car salesman ask you if you want the CARFAX say YES! Because I wasn't really worried about it, even though he repeated it but never brought it. That is my fault. Because fast forward four-five months later. My husband almost lost his life on a recall that should have been done on the car. I got the CARFAX when the control arm on the car broke and the wheel detached from the car while my husband was driving it. I felt something was not right and when I saw that that part was recalled in 2016 (btw we bought the car end of Feb 2020) and NEVER fixed was upsetting. This could have been easily avoided if Montrose would have got the CARFAX. Or perhaps they knew...I do not know. It seems unlikely that they did not know.
Now the car is at a another dealership for the last three weeks getting fix and it is free of charge because of the recall. I am just happy my husband is with us today because if he had been on a freeway or highway he could have had serious injuries. Customer service was great, there and I am not trying to knock them on that. Nice people all around but niceness can some times cloud your judgement or decisions on making sure they do their jobs correctly.
My only advice if you go there is please make sure they give you the CARFAX or research the vehicle while you are sitting there. Especially used ones. Things could have gone drastically different in my family, this could have been my teenage daughter driving or me driving the car. Just happy we are safe.
