Unfortunately not as great as it used to be.

Unfortunately not as great as it used to be.
Since I've been to Kuredu several times, I had to realize that the quality of this resort has deteriorated. The water villas are in a desolate condition. Of course, this is the salt water to borrow, but it does not give the impression, as if it worked in any way. The front door of the water villa hung so much that above the frame a real air gap has arisen. This made sure that the built-in air conditioner (when it was running) had to work against the incoming heat and draft. The wood on the sundeck was brittle and porous, so you often caught a splinter. The same way, unfortunately, the jetty looked to the water villas. On the upper deck, the screws for attaching the planks stood out a bit, which is not exactly funny when you walk over it.

Personally, I got along with the 500mb free internet access. However, I found the price for 24hrs ($ 12) or for 5 days ($ 50) very steep, considering that the WLAN reception in the water villa resembles a 56k modem.

Since the Maldives is known to have a problem with the disposal of plastic waste, I still can not understand that every day there is a new bottle of water that consists of plastic but there are alternatives that are right next to it.

On the positive side, the staff is still very nice and very accommodating and the food was always varied and plentiful. There was a theme day every day regarding the food and there was something for every taste.

For activities and entertainment was / is still taken care of. There are many things you can experience, be it on the water or underwater. Even on land you can experience a lot of funny things :-)

Last but not least, I have to say that it is still a beautiful island and if the "minor" deficiencies could perhaps be eliminated, then one would gladly visit another familiar resort one more time.
