The short version: $50+ for what should be a $15 steak.
This was our second visit to crossroads after our last time in town a few years ago. While the restaurant still maintains a pleasant atmosphere and some good dishes, the steaks have gone cheap. I order the Ribeye, which at $50 I expected to be quality meat cooked using proper techniques. The menu claims that the steaks are Prime quality. While we all know that not all Prime steaks are created equal, this is definitely not what i expected. First of all, I ordered medium-rare and the steak was seared on both sides but almost completely uncooked from about 1/4in in. Additionally, the steak appeared to have been mechanically tenderized. It felt like it had been chewed already and lacked the juiciness of a good cut of meat.
To sum it it it wasn t a -bad- steak, but definitely not worth the price tag.
